Near Christmas of 2018, I was given news that i had a rare form of leukemia, known as Mantle Cell Lymphoma. I was informed this disease  was not curable however treatable. I would have to undergo some Chemotherapy, and Stem cell treatments in order to save my life. For months I continued to go to work and have chemotherapy administered on schedule, Until a major complication arose and i had to be hospitalized for 2 weeks. As the sole provider in my household, this set back could have been devastating. I thank God for some very generous bosses, and co workers who helped cover the bulk of my expenses while i was in recovery. The experience was an eye opener, it was then realized, that i will have to take more time off in the future for treatments out of state because there are no Stem Cell treatment centers in my area.  Although my recent situation resulted favorably for my family and i, i we believe the solution is to have 5 months reserve to cover my obligations to the household, this was a difficult lesson to learn, to say the least i am embarrassed to say i should have prepared for this. However i intend to advocate to others the reality associated with long term illnesses. Until then, it is my humble request that you support this particular cause. I believed i did well with having good medical insurance, and life insurance however i was blindsided with a situation that i am facing today. With your support, I believe we can not only beat the odds, but also teach  and prepare others along the way.
