Gravenhurst Curling Club Condenser

Donation protected
The Gravenhurst Curling Club has been a part of the community since 1901. Built by community residents over 117 years ago it has been a winter activity for the residents of this area. We have also welcomed thousands of people from all over the world to play in bonspiels and also using our club facilities for weddings and anniversaries.
Countless memories have been made on and off the ice. Long lasting relationships have been forged on the ice.
Over 50 years ago the club suffered through a collapsed roof. With community support,

a new club was built.
Now again we face another threatening event.
In December of this year our chiller gave up working. The chilller is a condenser that circulates the fluids to keep them cold enough to keep the ice at a stable temperature.
Our executive has been looking for a replacement and found a used one in excellent condition for $15,000. A new one at a price of $60,000 is simply out of our reach.  To ensure the 170 curlers, ages 5-95, can continue curling we have gone ahead with the purchase of a used unit.
This club is a not-for-profit organization and this purchase will increase our debt load.
We ask that you consider making a donation at this time of year to help us pay for this critical piece of equipment.
If you have any questions, please email the club at [email redacted] and you will receive a response within 24 hours. You may also call Murray McKeown at [phone redacted] if you require more information.
Thank you for reading this and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
