My family desperately needs your help to finish funding a very successful alternative cancer treatment program I have started. "I was diagnosed Stage 4 prostate cancer with no prior symptoms in August 2016. I had exhausted all promising mainstream (insurable) medical treatments along with some very bad side effects for over 7 months. My doctor recently informed me that my cancer had become resistant to the therapy treatments I was on therefore I now had zero chance for full recovery. I am currently unable to work and on disability which is less than 1/3 of my normal income. We are just covering the basics of food, shelter and water. I have "incidental" medical costs that seem to pop up every week unexpectedly.

This is my story……
My name is Steve, my grandchildren know me as Grandude. I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. As scary as it sounds, this does not have to equate to an automatic death sentence. I am still relatively young, healthy and believe without a doubt that I can be healed. I have exhausted conventional therapies which were less than beneficial to my current state of health. People know me as very fun loving and yet a ferocious fighter. The day has come for me to step outside the box and take responsibility for finding my own successful treatments that can cure ME based on my own unique physiology. I have now self-activated my fight response because I consciously choose life!
I recently celebrated my 57th birthday. I have a beautiful, loving, talented and hard-working wife of 34 years. We have raised two wonderful sons (1 biological, one adopted) now in their 30’s. I have an awesome daughter-in- law and 2 equally awesome grandchildren with more on the way.
I have made my living in the construction business since finishing school in 1977. I am an extremely hardworking and very curious individual. By 1986, with the unending support of my creative wife, I had transitioned into a hands-on home designer/builder. For the next 22 years we were instrumental in helping over 160 families realize their goals of designing and building their "dream home" This was truly a magical feeling for me each and everytime.
As for many, the financial crisis and construction industry downturn completely wiped us out. Our own dream home, savings and retirement accounts vanished over a period of 4 short years. There are alot of Doctors who would point to this trail of events as a "trigger" for the onset of a potentially serious illness.
In 2013, a previous customer offered me a large project which relaunched my career. By June 2015, we were able to qualify for a mortgage and become proud homeowners again. Life was good.
In August, 2016, I was caught completely off guard when I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. I had no forewarning other than frequent urination at night. We began hormone treatment immediately.
My wife took me by the hand that day and together we began a "deep dive" into the world of cancer. Many profound lifestyle changes and sacrifices began that very day. A strict nutrition regimen was at the top of the list. Within a month, the first round of hormone treatments caused "chemically induced" hepatitis in my liver. I developed a severe case of jaundice which darn near killed me.
Disillusioned at this point, we took it upon ourselves to intensify our research and implement specific protocols to supercharge the healing of my liver and to help battle my disease. In late September 2016, I then began the second round of hormone therapy. I had started getting bone pains that were unmanageable. This new therapy quelled the bone pain but came with many unpleasant side effects that with time became manageable. By December 2016 my liver had fully recovered and the new hormone therapy along with the many adjunct treatments that we had researched and implemented was pointing to remission. With the help of my wife, family and some very special "angels" it appeared I was on the road to health. It was, unfortunately, a temporary respite.
At present, early March 2017, I am 7 months post diagnosis. The second round of hormone therapy, which seemed so promising, has begun to fail. I am now facing far fewer traditional therapies which have much more devastating side effects than those I’ve already experienced. My Doctor, when pressed a few days ago, painted a very bleak prognosis of 2 years or less to live, adding that those 2 years would be in a continuously declining state. He cited loss of bladder and bowel control, bone fractures and ultimately spinal cord compression leading to paralysis. A "bleak" future is a vast understatement.
We have decided it’s in the best interest of family and loved ones that I seek out approved treatment protocols not offered locally. I have again extensively researched and found a clinic in Nevada. I know this will give me the best chance for survival. They have a 60% five year survival rate for all stage 4 cancers and much better statistics for stage 4 prostate alone. Far better than the estimate of two years of quickly declining health and the certain death I am now facing.
Obviously, I need your financial help. In my 57 years, I have never asked for help of any sort other than from God. I have always believed in hard work and dedication to solve obstacles.
My out-of-pocket expenses so far, coupled with my physical inability to work for the last 8 months, have drained most of our assets. My wife continues to work to support our very modest lifestyle.
I must now raise $55,000 in order to start the initial 4 month treatment program which includes monthly followup visits and up to 2 years healing time for my compromised bones. I will continue to be unable to work during most of this time. My goal, post-treatment, is be a testament of hope and an empowering source of factual knowledge/information and experience so I may help others in such unfortunate circumstances.
