This Christmas day heaven gained another angel, Grandma Setsu. After 10 days of fighting in the hospital, she is finally no longer in pain or suffering.
Our grandma and grandpa were together for 50 years and raised 3 generations of children, grandchildren, and great granchildren. They also touched the lives of countless friends and family. Many can testify to the positive spirit and kind heart they both had. Our grandma was like a mom to anyone she met, always willing to help or take in anyone that needed a meal, a place to go, or even just some good advice. We haven't just lost a grandmother, we lost a mom, a friend, a mentor and guide to many people. With the passing of Setsu, it is finally time to lay them both to rest. Our family is fundraising to help cover grandma's medical expenses, her upcoming funeral, and the double burial of her and grandpa Larry.
The cost break-down is roughly $3,000 for her hospital bills, $7,000 for her funeral expenses, and $10,000 for the double burial. Our family is facing these costs out-of-pocket and we're struggling to pull the money together. We are hoping that with everyone's help we are able to come together to reach our goal.
