Stolen car hit my friend, Lana!!!

My friend, Lana, was hit by a young kid who stole a car.  Lana only had liability since her car was paid off.  The owner of the other car was not liable because his car was stolen. And the young kid who stole the car is a minor without a job.  She is stuck with all her medical bills since no one’s insurance will pay for it, and also can’t get a new car. 

Worst part is, she had just quit her job to pursue a different career as a parole officer and was hit the weekend before she was supposed to leave for training.  Her injuries were substantial, to include a very bad concussion. She’s now out of work since she was unable to attend training due to her injuries.  

She’s such a sweet spirit and she has been relying on her faith and attending church more than ever.  As people who have been through turmoil, we all know the darkest hours are when God is laying the biggest plans for us. However, with the holidays coming up I was hoping we could give her a little hand...and a little hope. Any little bit would help her out. I would hate to see her become homeless on top of this. 

She didn’t want to ask for help because she’s been praying and says there are other people in worse situations.  Such a sweet, caring woman!  Please give what you can.  Furthermore, if anyone knows of any social worker or case worker positions available in the Houston area, please let me know so we can help her get a new job ASAP.
