Gracie The Pug Kicks Cancer

$810 of $1,000 goal

Raised by 17 people in 10 months
We found out today that Gracie, our 10 year old pug, was diagnosed with a cancerous Mass Cell tumor. We are sad and know that we need to quickly take care of it and have surgery.  The Vet has told us it was a low grade tumor-but it needs to be removed being that it has been growing quite rapidly.  Of course we are currently in a financial crunch and are unable to get a bank loan to cover the costs so we are looking to our family, friends and fans of Gracie to help us with the expenses of her medical bills.

Gracie is the definition of Mans Best Friend, and has always been a cheerful nurse in our times of need.  It’s our turn to take care of her. She has brought so much love, laughter and healing to our little family.  Could you help us out?  We would appreciate any gift no matter the amount.

Gracie’s Surgery Update:

We received Gracie’s cancer biopsy and the Vet is very pleased with the results. Gracie has clean margins and is cancer free in the tissue beneath where the tumor was removed. It was a stage 2 low grade tumor with a low chance that it will re-occur.

We are so happy that our little Gracie got a clean bill of health. She is slowly recovering and is getting back to her silly and sassy little self. A neat little row of stitches on her back-left leg will get removed next week and the surgical area looks to be healing well without infection.

Thanks again for all the love, support and donations so Gracie could get this surgery done. We are blessed beyond measure to have such kind family, friends and Facebook connections that know how much our little Gracie means to us. All your generous donations helped to pay for the surgery in full which has brought us an extra measure of peace. A HUGE THANK YOU for all the kindness.

Gary, Kathy and Gracie too ❤️

To all our campaign supporters,

Gracie’s Update...

She is doing well and recovering from the surgery on Wednesday, just pretty sore and worn out, but spunky and demanding so back to normal. She had a pretty big incision on her leg that is still pretty tender and will be for a while. The Vet took a tissue sample from the area beneath the surgery. This biopsy will check to see if all the cancer has been removed. We’ll know the results in the next few days.

Thank you everyone for all the help for Gracie’s surgery; Your concern, prayers and donations have saved Gracie’s little life. We are grateful ❤️ We will keep you updated as we find out the results of her test.
