Gracie needs our help.

Update(September.8): It's been a while since I've shared an update on my Gracie. She has now complete 12/14 chemo treatments. This coming Monday September the 11th she goes back to Kelowna for the last of her 5 day chemo treatments. She is still holding on strong and kicking cancers ass. But unfortunately her nerve pain hasn't subsided at all, so she's still in quite a lot of pain.
She had another MRI scan done 2 weeks ago and found that the cancerous tumor is still shrinking! Which is good news.
Also yesterday she went back to Kelowna to have cortisone shots to try and help the inflammation. So fingers crossed on that it helps.
Again any donation means a lot as she is still unable to work and we are just scraping by with bills, food and life. Thank you everyone again.

Update(June.16): gracie has been home now for the last couple of weeks in between chemo treatments at the hospitals. She had her first scan done yesterday since chemo all started.. The results came in and we were told today the tumor has shrunk 1/3 its size. And there are no other signs of cancer anywhere else on her anymore!! Super happy that the chemo is working and kicking cancers ass. This coming Monday Gracie heads back to Kelowna for 6 days for her 7th chemo session. We are half way there!! We still have quite the road to travel but we are headed in the right direction. So proud of her ❤️

Update(April.17): Gracie is still in the Kelowna General Hospital. She has been undergoing Chemotherapy. She has done two sessions so far. Her third being next Monday. Unfortunately she is still in a lot of pain from the tumor. At this moment we are taking it day by day. She is being very strong through this process and trying her best through her chemo.

Update(March.27): Gracie has been sent to the Kelowna General Hospital in order to help with her pain management. The pain in her leg is as worse as it could be and is bed ridden. Also we are finally ready to say that on March.13 we finally got the biopsy results from Vancouver. Unfortunately we were told Gracie has a rare type of Cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. Today she starts her first of 12 chemotherapy treatments over the next 6 months. She is ready to fight and beat this terrible disease.

Update(March.18): There has been an update but I am unable to release the info at this time. We are still fighting and dealing with struggles every day. We will beat this.

For the last 10 months my poor Gracie has been dealing with extremely painful sciatic pain in her leg. We tried specialists, doctors, physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractors, you name it, and it was tried with no success to help the slightest. Over the months the pain kept getting worse and worse. It finally got to the point of not being able to walk on that leg at all due to the pain, and numbess. She went to the ER countless times with no success until we finally had to call an ambulance to take her there one night. The following day she got an MRI done. The MRI showed that growing on her sciatic nerve in her butt area, was a tumor the size of an apple. The doctors believe it to be a nerve sheath tumor, a super rare but sometimes cancerous type tumor. As of today Feb.22, she has been in the hospital for two weeks waiting for an urgent biopsy that can only be done in Vancouver. Then she would have to travel back again for surgery at a later date with the possibility of chemo and radiation first. We still at this point remain hopeful that it is not cancerous but regardless we have a long road to travel ahead of us.

We are not the kind of people who would ever ask for money, but with this happening she has been off work for 3 weeks now and won't be returning anytime soon. We also need to fund her travel costs to get to and from Vancouver for treatment (air ambulance), getting a nutritionist involved so she can eat properly, medicine and prescriptions that need filling along with many other things that we don't even know of yet, that will be coming along in the future. I myself (her boyfriend Mike) have been and will be missing work to help her with appointments and just being there for her with the help and support of her mother Polly.  We are only asking for a little bit to help as of now, because the journey we are about to embark on could possibly be a lot longer than expected.

We all miss our old Gracie, the fun loving, adventurous, hike loving girl. She hasn't been able to do anything fun in forever it seems and I just want her to be better and get that glow back that she has.

I could keep typing about the pain and issues we’ve been dealing with but that is what was needed to be said. If there are any questions, info or anything at that please feel free to contact me.

From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much!
