Goodness The Humble Warrior!
The reality of loss is very heartbreaking, as we grapple with the passing of the most humble person you could have ever met - Goodness Adeboye Adejayan. Goodness went on to be with the Lord at the young age of 17 after battling cancer (Anaplastic Ependymoma) for seven months. The realities of life can change very quickly. We never expected anything like this to happen. Yet, we are very honored and thankful to have had such a great son and brother, and an excellent friend. While he may have lived a relatively short life, we take comfort in knowing his time on earth was lived to the fullest.
Anyone who ever met Goodness will tell you that he was funny, loving and very caring. He was gifted with the ability to make anyone smile with just one goofy look. He always had a big infectious smile on his face that warmed up the entire room and created love. It was always beautiful to watch.
Goodness always lent a helping hand and was a natural caretaker. He had a nurturing spirit and a very kind heart. He loved little kids and was spiritually mature beyond his age. More than anything, he believed in God, and his faith was not comparable to a mustard seed, for it was bigger than earth itself.
At only 16, Goodness was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He underwent surgery, and then repeated treatments of radiation and chemotherapy. He battled the disease day after day and treatment after treatment, often suffering from severe fatigue, nausea, pain and much more. Even through his suffering, you would never have known what he was going through because he always wanted to make sure he comforted those around him. During his battle with cancer, when I (his sister Performance) would cry, Goodness would be the one comforting me and telling me not to cry. Can you imagine that?

As we deal with the worst nightmare any family could ever imagine, we need your help. All our financial resources have been expended in helping Goodness fight the cancer. Unfortunately, we are now financially exhausted. This fund will primarily help with Goodness’ funeral costs. Any left over will be directed towards other financial needs for the family at this difficult time. Any donations, no matter how little, is greatly appreciated. Life will never be the same without Goodness in it. But, our faith continues to grow in the Lord even during this very difficult time.
