Good-bye Ganon

Donation protected
After a week of mourning, we are settled back in reality and are sharing our loss. Unfortunately due to us recently getting married in December we were working on building back our funds when Ganon's loss came into our hands. We took on a heavy financial burden trying to save our beloved. So now we are asking for your help, with all of the vet visits, the vet stay, tests, medication and the emergency resuscitation and Ganon's cremation we incurred a cost of around $2,000 that we did not have at moment, in hopes to be able to help him survive and in the end to send him off respectfully. Your donations will help us repay the debt we took on trying to save our Ganon. If you'd like, please continue reading for his/our story:

Unfortunately on Wednesday February 6, 2019 our baby Ganon collapsed on the floor unexpectedly after returning home from his morning walk. We rushed him to the vet to get immediate medical attention, and after a blood test, x-rays and ultrasounds the veterinarian could not find anything wrong with our beloved Ganon. Still, Ganon looked very unwell and could hardly walk on his own. The vet kept him for observation to administer fluids via a IV for the remainder of the day. We picked him up that evening, to see him still in the weak state he was prior. With the veterinarian still baffled as to what could have caused his condition, leading all of us to believe Ganon had suffered a stroke that morning.

The next day we returned to the veterinarian's office for a follow up on Ganon's state and we informed him that he refused to eat anything and even vomited three times that same morning. Ganon was still extremely lethargic, we also saw no improvement in his condition. The vet emphasized we needed to get some nutrients into Ganon so he could get his strength back and so administered an anti nausea shot plus prescribed him some anti nausea medicine we were to give him daily in hopes it would help him keep down any food we managed to feed him. We tried to feed him, but he refused all food and only sought to drink water, we had to resort to force feeding him puppy formula so he could have some nourishment.

The next Friday we kept the best eye on him as we could, he was still lethargic and would hardly move on his own, and just wanted to lay down and it appeared as if every movement cost him a great deal of energy. We continued to try to feed him but he still refused all and any food so we had to feed him puppy formula and homemade chicken stock with a pipette to try to give him some nutrients. We carried him to the dog park in our complex so he could go potty and in his efforts he could not even hold himself up. My husband and I decided we would rush him back to his vet first thing the next day.

At 5:30 AM Saturday February 9th I woke up to his stare, and to his breathing being abnormal and labored, then minutes later it happened, our sweet baby Ganon went into what we know now was cardiac arrest. In that moment we were lost not knowing what to do and so we rushed and sped him over to the nearest 24 hour veterinarian hospital. There they tried to save our beloved boy, but he did not respond to the resuscitation. They informed us they found blood in his heart and in his lungs which was most likely caused by a tumor bleeding inside of him. So with all of our efforts we had lost him, that morning we said a unexpected good bye to our sweet seven year old Ganon.
