Golf Course War Machine Tour

Donation protected
Pippa is dazed, hungover and staging her own protest on the roundabout outside the Celtic Manor on the eve of the NATO summit and she's about to trample down the fence.  Golf Course War Machine is one woman's battle to place Wales in the centre of the global map. A one woman piece - this takes Pippa on a journey from her rural Welsh mining village, to the heart of industry-choked China, through the daze of rock concerts and public protests and back to the roundabout at the Celtic Manor Resort where she will answer the question - what gives her the right to be there?

Who? What? Why?

No Boundaries are a Cardiff-based theatre company, committed to the exposition of new and emerging Welsh and Wales-based artists within everything we achieve. Our aim is to create contemporary pieces about people, just like our audiences, allowing audiences to think and question things, whilst pushing the boundaries as much as possible.

Golf Course War Machine is written by Chris Harris, who was recently honoured with the Richard Carne Award for writing at the Sherman Theatre. The play is Directed by Luke Hereford and Performed by Melanie Stevens, who both are graudates of Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

After a succesful Public Rehearsed Reading of Golf Course War Machine last November and in this current political climate audience members and ourselves expressed how this show needs to be seen by a wider audience, as politics has rarely been more prevlaent amongst all generations. But we are not here to give a political rant, and neither is the production itself. It is a play about hope, that no matter how young you are, what background you're from, what gender, sexuality or creed you are any one can make a difference. We want audiences to come out from watching this play with their fists thrown in the air, feeling hopeful and ready to make a difference.

To do this however we need money. We have the following venues for our tour lined up already.
March - Arad Goch, Aberystwth
April - Manchester (TBC)
June - Hope Theatre, London
July - Cardiff (TBC)
August - Edinburgh Fringe

As a non budget theatre company we have no means of funding until we become more established, therefore with the help of any donation we will  be taking the next step in taking Golf Course War Machine across the borders and putting Wales on the map.
