Going Home for Grandma's Funeral
Donation protected
Yesterday morning, Grandma Thompson passed away. I immediately started planning a trip home...to sit and hold my grandpa's hand, to give my mom a shoulder to cry on, and to help sort out the logistics and politics of family and funeral.
On top of an already challenging day... my partner Edwin was in a T-bone collision yesterday afternoon. He's doing alright - some deep bruising and a bump on the head. The ER sent him home on ibuprofen, so it's just rest and healing at this point.
I deeply appreciate the outpouring of love and support from all of you - my friends and family. Many of you have been asking if there's anything you can do to help.
With everything happening all at once, I could really use some help with the travel costs of heading back to Iowa.
If you're able, and it brings you joy, anything you can offer would make a really big difference.
I love you,
Brian
