An enthusiastic group of young Goalballers will be representing their state in the Pacific School Games to held held in their home town of Adelaide, between 3rd to 8th of December 2017.
Please help us raise funds towards covering our athletes costs that currently total over $4000. This $800 for each athlete covers tournament fees and uniforms.
Please note that donations to this page are shared equally to reduce the cost of all team members’ registration and playing fees.
This year, our junior team is made up of Alana T, Isaiah M, Ethan C, Flynn J and Aaron O.
What is Goalball - Well we are glad you asked - Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for blind and visually impaired athletes. Participants compete in teams of three by throwing a ball that has bells embedded in it into the opponents' goal. Defenders must use the sound of the ball to judge its position and movement and to try and block the ball from reaching their goal. The video below gives a short introduction to the sport.
