Go Vivi, Go Vivi, Go!

Go Vivi, Go Vivi, Go! This is what we would all sing to Vivianne each and everytime we saw her because it would make her smile and dance! My name is Austin Williams and I am Jake Marousek's best friend. The past 4 days have been absolutely devastating for my closest family, friends, the Marousek family, the Knipfel family, and most importantly Andrea and Jake. I received a phone call that Jake's precious 11 month old baby was in the hospital in cricitcal condition. My heart immediately sank as I have never seen/heard Jake upset before like this.

I personally try to refrain from holding babies because I'm "akward" at it, but Jake always made me hold Vivianne. For all who know Vivianne she is the cutest, most precious baby that anyone could ask for. Ontop of that she never cries and is always filled with joy.
She has energy like one would think a baby Marousek would. (For those who know Jake, he's a phenomenal athlete and like the energizer bunny) Today (1/31/2017) sweet Vivianne lays in a hospital bed/PICU at Childrens in Omaha, NE. The last 4 days I've had countless texts and phone calls asking for updates on Viv. The problem with this is we don't have any updates. :( Vivianne's fate is in God's hands.

Omaha, FaceBook, Twitter, Nebraska, and countless other groups have came together in prayer in hopes for Viv to pull through. There are no answers at this time. In other words we are praying for a mircale! You're probably asking yourself what happened to Viv. Up until a week ago,  she was a perfectly happy baby. Unfortunately she took a slight spill that brought on worry that a blow to the head may have caused a concussion. She began to have seizures about a week ago and was taken to the ER. The doctors decided not to do the EEG and sent Viv home the next day. Something wasn't right and Andrea and Jake knew this, but how can you not trust the docs, especially when Childrens in Omaha are "The best of the best". After taking her home she seemed to be on the mend until further seizures began. Jake and Andrea rushed her back to the hopsital to get treatment and little did anyone know that Vivianne had at some point lost oxygen to her brain... Doctors don't believe that the fall was the reason all this took place. They believe she was experiencing prolonged absense seizures (unnoticable seizures) for some time.

There is no doubt Vivianne has suffered damage to her brain, but she is STRONG just like her mother and father and is making improvements. Although we don't know if she will make it, nor do we know the extent of the brain damage we do know that Jake is a hard working self employed man with no other employees. It's clear that he will be out of work for who knows how long. We also know that Andrea is a teacher and will of course be out for an unknown time period. Another known is that hospital bills aren't cheap, so anything and everything helps. Although no ammount of money will ever make up for what has happened to Vivianne, ALL your prayers and thoughts are being heard and are well appreciated. Thank you all for your kind love and support during these hard times. Go Vivi, Go Vivi Go!
