Send Maryam on Umrah
Salaam (Peace) to all.
Since 2013 my beautiful 14yr old niece Maryam has been fighting cancer from a maligned peripheral tumor and neurofibromatosis type 1.
She has now been put on hospice as doctors can do no more for her.
The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) said “On the Day of Resurrection, God the Mighty and Majestic will say: ‘O child of Adam! I became sick and you did not visit me!’ The person will say, ‘O Lord, how can I visit you and you are the Lord of all that Exists!’ God will say, ‘Did you not know that my slave ‘so and so’ became sick, and you did not visit him? Did you not know that if you visited him, you would have found me with him?’” (Saheeh Muslim).
As such, our family wishes nothing more than to share the beautiful opportunity for any who wish to contribute to be part of gaining the pleasure of the Most High Lord All Mighty. To send this beautiful spirit Maryam to Baitul Haram, the Holy Kaba and Masjid Nabawi in Mecca and Medina would mean to her and her family more than words can describe.
Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, performed by Muslims that can be undertaken at any time of the year.
The funds raised will be used for Umrah package which includes hotel and travel expenses. I (God Willing) will accompany Maryam on this trip. As Maryam can no longer walk, I will be there to assist her through each part of this blessed pilgrimage. The funds are needed within the next 3 to 4 weeks to reach our targeted date of Umrah.
In closing, I leave you with a Hadith (tradition) of the Noble Messenger of Allah and two Ayah From Holy Qur'an. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and kindness, and ask The Lord All Mighty to honor and raise you all with the Best of Creation (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).
"The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 604
"They ask you (O Muhammad) what they should spend in charity. Say: 'Whatever you spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good you do, God is aware of it.'" - The Holy Quran, 2:215
"Spend (in charity) out of the sustenance that We have bestowed on you before that time when death will come to someone, and he shall say: "O my Lord! If only you would grant me reprieve for a little while, then I would give in charity, and be among the righteous." - The Holy Quran, 63:10
