Our mother Gloria Jean Slade was one of the most loving individuals that I ever had the pleasure of knowing.  She was a strong will individual who did not take any mess from no one.  She was the most kind hearted person that would give you her last just so you would not go without.  Her big holiday was Christmas  she would have a list of all who was invited and if they were bringing anyone additional so when she did her Christmas shopping that everyone that attended her event would have something under the tree.  She wanted everyone to enjoy the time they had with her.  I called her Energizer bunny because she kept going and going.  She was not only mother to me and my brother Anthony Champ she was a mother to the neighborhood.  Over the past 10 years she vision impaired in which lost 90 percent of her eye sight.  This did not stop Ms. Slade she was an active member in her church by helping feeding the homeless and making care packages for them.  She was also active by going to class learning braille and computer functions, her ambition was to learn it well enough so she can teach.  She was not going to let her disability stop her.  Unfortunately she did not have life insurance to cover her in the event of her demise. We need the help of our and friends and family to help with funeral arrangements and laying our mother and friend to rest.  We need the funds before July 11, 2018.  To make sure that all services are paid for prior to day of funeral.  My brother and I will handle the arrangements for final payments.  Mozeke Slade and Anthony Champ
