Gleed Family Fund

A very close and dear friend of mine, Mark Gleed has given the last several years of his life to being primary caregiver for his 89 year old father. He has spent all of his savings to help provide and care for his dad. He has only been able to work 9 hours a week  as it became increasingly difficult for him to leave his father alone.

Unfortunately, Mark’s father, Thomas Gleed passed away on Christmas Eve. Mark’s most immediate concern is that his father’s body currently lies unclaimed at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL because Mark does not have the money to pay for a funeral home or cremation expenses for his beloved father.

In addition to the grief and stress of this situation, he is now facing the reality that he will become homeless in the next two months. All of his money is gone. He is 60 years old, alone and with his own medical issues. His only income is from a part-time job that pays $350 a month.

I'm hoping this campaign will provide him with enough money to cover his father’s burial expenses and perhaps enough to help pay his living expenses for a short time so he may grieve and regroup and find himself a decent job so he can support himself and keep a roof over his head.
