Phil and Wendy Need Our Help!
On their way to the grocery store, they were driving eastbound on I-82 just outside Prosser, WA at approx. 9:19 pm, when they witnessed a bad car accident in the westbound lane. They pulled over on the shoulder; Phil told Wendy to call 911, and he was going to go over and see if he could help. Because there were other cars coming behind him, Phil hurried across the road and hopped over the guard rail to cross the median and help the other drivers. Wendy was busy calling 911.
An hour went by while Wendy waited for Phil to return. Police and other emergency vehicles came and went from the accident scene, and still Phil had not returned to the vehicle. Then a police cruiser pulled up behind Wendy and Phil's car, thinking it was an abandoned vehicle. Wendy explained that she was waiting for her husband to return from helping out, and the officer told Wendy that everyone who had been at the scene had already left. He asked Wendy to move her vehicle to the next rest area, and he would get search and rescue to help out.
Another hour went by with no sign of Phil. Wendy called the officer's phone, and learned that they had just located Phil. When Phil had hopped over that guardrail, he hadn't been able to see that there was no median...just a 30 foot drop. Phil fell 30', then rolled another 20' before coming to rest in a ditch. He was found unconscious but breathing.
It was another hour before they were able to get him loaded into an ambulance and get him to the hospital. One look at his injuries, and they had him on a Life Flight to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Phil's multiple injuries include a shattered pelvis, a broken shoulder, a broken wrist, 6 broken ribs, both ankles were damaged and many other contusions and injuries. While he is in a lot of pain, he and everyone else are just happy that he is alive.
The people that Phil was trying to help will probably never know what he tried to do for them, but we do. This is the kind of guy he is.
Phil and Wendy don't have medical insurance. The Life Flight alone cost $36,000. They know no one in Seattle that Wendy and their daughter can stay with while Phil gets the surgeries he needs. Expenses and medical bills are piling up. Please help!

Update on Phil Frazier : Today was a good day ... got him out of bed and onto a cardiac chair so he could get out of his room and " see the sights". We also found out that the new xrays of his pelvis looks good and everything seems stable. We just want to say thank you for all the well wishes, thoughts, prayers & good vibes that has been sent to our family over the last week.
Here is an update on my back injuries, the MRIs all show that structurally my spine has healed really well. I am working on the neurological and muscular injuries that remain daily. I have started a program that will help me redirect neuropathways and desensitize my nervous system which will help a great deal with paib management. August 18th I my right shoulder injections will start hopefully solving the torn labrum issue and fixxing the shoulder. Next will be the left knee torn miniscus. Try to enjoy your days. Lovelivelife
Had my follow up appointment on my left wrist today, it is healing well and I have been cleared to start strengthening therapy. The damage to my right shoulder is next, we are starting with injections to see if they help as a part of diagnosis and to see if I can avoid surgery. Thank you to everyone my family and I are extremely greatful.
Hello everyone, I am doing well, I have had 3 surgeries, one pelvis and two on my wrist. I have 1 more on my wrist and one on each ankle, knee, and shoulder. My doctor says I am looking at 1.5-2 years before I will be able to return to work. I am currently panhandling to make ends meet 6 days a week, I can only stay out there two hours or so before my comfort level is no longer tolerable. I wanted to say thank you to all who have reached out to help my family. We are grateful for all of you. Please try to enjoy your days. LOVELIVELIFE !!
Well hello to all, my recovery is going very well. I am able to walk now with the assistance of a 4 wheeled walker my family and I are together now in our home. I have a few more months of physical therapy to do at that time I am hoping to be able to function without the walker. I hope everyone's year is progressing on a happy note I know mine is. Try to enjoy your days. Lovelivelife.
Hello to everyone, first I must say MERRY CHRISTMAS from me and my family, I made my appointment on the 17th and here are the results, my wrist has been released from the cast and the pins have been removed. My limitations are 5 lbs max weight until Jan 15. This is so I can focus on range of motion before strengthening. My pelvis bone scan came back good enough to remove the x fix bracing and pins in my hips. The left side is healing a little faster than the right so I am aloud to start weight bearing on the left leg on Jan 7th and then the right leg on the 14th but only limited weight bearing in 25% increments per week as tolerated. At that time my doctor feels my legs should have me walking by March 1st. At that point in time the ankle specialist will look at repairing my ankles. If of course my ankles can not support my physical therapy for my pelvis then they may get repaired sooner. My shoulder elbow and wrist are in the same state of repair we are hoping to avoid all other surgical repairs as to get me back on my feet and working as soon as possible. I can not express my gratitude in any words for the kindness and support my family has received. I hope that you are all able to have a wonderful holiday season. Try to enjoy your days.

Well my appointment on the 17th is coming soon. My wife and daughter are visiting often now that they have beat there colds. Our new " normal" is sometimes hard to accept but we work through it one day at a time. My recovery time is approximately 6 months, I am hoping it is far shorter. We are very greatful for the much needed financial help everyone has provided us with. You are all amazing people thank you so much.
2 weeks to go, I was able to sit up again at edge of bed unsupported for about 3 minute's. What an amazing feeling can't wait till next time. Made it 1.5 hours in the chair today before transferred back to bed. One day at a time. Try to enjoy your day.
