Help us help Xane continue to walk!
Xane is our 1 1/2 year old Newfoundland. We recently adopted him and he quickly stole our hearts. Nine days ago Xane was playing in the yard with us when something in the woods caught his attention and he took off. We immendiately began the search. Countless people seached for him tirelessly over the last week. We were incredibly heartbroken . So many amazing people have come into our lives in an effort to find him. There are no words to express the gratitude we feel for all the help we have received.
Early this morning we got a call, Xane struck by a vehicle and he was laying on the side of the road. We quickly picked him up and took him to the vet where we were told that he had multiple fractures and possible internal bleeding. We rushed him to Metropolitan Veterinary Associates were we found our first glimmer of hope. Xane is going to need multiple expensive surgeries to repair the fractures in his pelvis but he is expected to pull through. Thankfully there is no internal bleeding. There may be some nerve damage but we won't know for a few weeks. We have a long road ahead of us but still remain optimistic. We are trying to give him a fighting chance and we know we have a lot of people on our side.
Xane's sugergies and aftercare is going to be very expensive but we could not look into his eyes and not fight for him when he is fighting so hard himself. When he saw us, he picked head up and immediately wagged his tail. He is strong, he is a fighter and we know we can do this with your help. No one can do everything but everyone can do something. Please help us raise the money for Xane's surgeries.
