Giving Joy To Our Joi

9yrs ago God blessed me with a beautiful baby girl Joi Jackson whom was born with cleft palate, short jaw and developmental delays... Joi has had 8 surgiers including palate repairs, dental work and ear tube placements. Joi wore leg braces the first 2yrs of her life.. through her growing years she still was nonverbal, delayed in other areas and behind in her age... as the years continue we were going through tests and more test as to find a why Joi was unable to speak.. every doctor, specialist, surgeon and test all came back normal and by this time they had no explanation as to why Joi was nonverbal, and slow to learning and basically a toddler in her preschool years... so more and more test was ordered to take until finally through genetics testing sent out of state through a All Sequence Work Up 9yrs later we have a why, and also a diagnosis.... Joi has a syndrome called SATB2 which is not curable but manageable as more issues may occur and there is no way to know if she will ever talk again or if so when... she also can be at risk of seizures, learning difficulties and low muscle tone... Joi also have a low bone density and is being tested for scoliosis...
Joi has to have a communication device to speak for her so she can communicate as she goes through life so she will have a voice which is why we are setting up this go fund me page... the Devive is called
