The east London borough of Newham has the highest number of homeless people in England – 1 in every 24 – according to statistics released by homeless charity Shelter.

Our goal is to unite people from all different walks of life, giving them a platform to experience things they would never thought attainable.  We want to inspire and help people reach their goals and aspirations whilst being a voice and an example to the community. Lots of people want to give back and don't know how to.  We are the team where we can show them how to giveback by contributing to or at an event to raise money for different causes.

Our Christmas event on Sunday 16th December is helping the homeless in Stratford East London at the Stratford Centre, Newham Borough. Where it is one of the very few shopping centres that allows the homeless to come in off the streets to keep away from the bitter winter cold.

We shall be cooking hot food and providing hot drinks along with donations of warm clothing and toiletries and a care package to help them survive the cold a little better.  We also want to be able to give them a little Christmas gift as many of them will be on the streets the entire winter.

A little goes a long way

We are currently are asking for people to donate (what we don’t get from donations we would like to go and purchase) the following items where possible:

New items
Socks (thermal where possible)
Men’s Vests
Gloves
Scarves
Hats
Pants/boxers/knickers
Cartons of drinks - fruit juice type
Bottles of small water
Biscuits (must be in date)
Crisps (must be in date)
Fresh soft fruit
Mints

Can be used in good condition
Good condition jackets
Waterproof clothes
Sleeping bags
Wellington boots
Blankets
Backpacks
Toiletries
Trousers
Jumpers
T-shirts
Ear muffs
