Imagine running a race and crossing the finish line only to be told you can't win the medal.

Imagine going to school and taking class after class, doing all the work and getting no credit.

Matt lost his mom to breast cancer at the age of 6.

Despite this heartbreaking tragedy, he has gone on to make incredible strides in the world of academics. As founder and leader of his high school philosophy club, he has always had a love of and affinity for philosophy. Following his passion and inspiration, he decided to attend Rutgers University where the Philosophy program is ranked 2nd in the world. He was accepted. Despite financial obstacles, he’s been hugely successful thus far. However, now he needs your help.

Rutgers would let him register, attend, and complete classes only to deny him credit when he couldn't pay for his tuition. This has happened to him three times.

Now, he is at the bewitching moment and again $3600 short of paying for his classes and graduating from Rutgers.

Here's the story...

Freshman year
:
With the help of his parents, he took out a large loan and completed both semesters, 4.0 gpa

Sophomore year:
Attended and completed work for the first semester. With the help of his family, he did his best to raise money for the second semester, but was unable to secure the necessary finances. He was forced to not attend school the second semester.

Junior year:
Attended and completed work for the first semester. Decided to try to work the second semester, but could not borrow enough to pay for the second semester. However by raising money after the second semester and making appeals was able to recieve credit.

Senior year:
Attended and completed work for both semesters, but only received credit for one, unable to secure the necessary finances for the second semester despite tremendous effort.

Super senior year:
Same as Senior year but got credit for the second rather than the first semester.

Today:
Finished his final classes, working to secure funding for an 8th semester, in jeopardy of being unable to graduate AGAIN

Currently $40,000 in debt.

Matt has met with Rutgers over and over begging them to extend a final loan to graduate, but has been unsuccessful, regardless of achieving academic excellence.

I believe he will change the world with his pursuit of academics. He dreams of being a professor. His creativity is something special.

We all need support to meet our dreams. You can help him to meet his.

It isn't a huge goal, but there is a time constraint. If he doesn't raise enough funds by the end of December he again will have run the race and not received the accolades for the accomplishment.

Please, donate to this worthy cause. Even $10 would make a difference.
