Girls Rock Jax 5 Year Fundraiser

Girls Rock Jacksonville’s mission is to cultivate self-empowerment and positive identity development in girls, trans*, and gender nonconforming youth through music experimentation, DIY media, and peer collaboration.

 

We are celebrating our 5th year of camp and want to make sure GRJ can continue to grow for years to come. This Gofundme campaign will help us raise funds to sustain our weeklong summer camp and year-round programming, providing a welcoming place for our youth to find expression and strength.

 

 

As GRCJ is a volunteer-based program, we need all of the community support that we can get. Donations will go towards scholarships for campers, back-up supplies for camp gear (instrument cables, microphones, guitar straps, picks, etc.), snacks and beverages for the campers and volunteers…the list goes on! We encourage businesses to help support us as we will be including all donors in our showcase promotional materials.

Lunch Money - $5

[Each month,] Your donation subsidizes healthy lunch and snacks for one participant at one of our week-long camps.

 

Sticks & Picks - $10

[Each month,] Your donation subsidizes small office supplies, drum sticks, guitar picks

 

Glitter & Glue - $25

[Each month,] Your donation subsidizes replacement guitar strings, power cables, larger office supplies like ink and paper

 

Gear Guardian - $50

[Each month,] Your donation subsidizes replacement microphone, replacement mic cables, replacement drum heads

 

Scholarship Sponsor - $100

[Each month], Your donation provides one partial camp scholarship for a need-based camper!

 

Instrumental Input - $150

[Each month], Your donation helps us with volunteer training class fees, printing costs, a new guitar or bass, and flight cases for storage.

 

Scholarship Superstar - $250

[Each month], Your donation provides one full camp scholarship for a need-based camper!

 

Gear God/Goddess - $500

[Each month], Your donation helps us with PA speakers, small mixing board, camp food costs, camp parking fees, and a nice guitar amp.

 

Headquarter Hero - $1000

[Each month], Your donation subsidizes one year of storage for our camp supplies and gear—help us dream big for a future programming space

More about Girls Rock Camp Jacksonville:

Girls Rock Camp is a week-long program serving youth ages 9–17 in the Jacksonville areas. During the week, campers learn an instrument, form a band and write a song which they perform at a showcase the Saturday following camp. In addition, campers participate in workshops centered around empowerment and creativity such as, Songwriting, Image & Identity, Self Defense, Zine-Making and more, all designed to cultivate self-empowerment and positive identity development in the campers.
