About Me and my GoFundMe campaign

My name is James Gillingwater, and I live in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada. I’m trying to raise money through an extreme effort I’m taking to get rid of my last and final addiction, which is marijuana. I had other addictions in the past 30 years that I successfully got rid of.
I was once a part of many community programs and groups before my addictions (Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Sea Cadets, The Lions, The Elks, The Legion, The Legion of the Moose, etc.) where we raised money for individuals that needed support. Now, I am reaching out to my community, asking for your support to help me conquer my last and final addiction. The money raised through this extreme effort I’m taking is gonna be used to create a business plan (you’ll read more about it in the My Vision part).

I made the choice to get clean of my own willpower, and I am not looking back. If I can do this, anyone can. This is why I want to share my story, give hope and inspire another person that has been where I was.

What I'm Asking
I’m asking for the community to give me as little as $5 so that we can put action to the vision and the mission.

My Vision
The money that I raise through this GoFundMe support is going to be reinvested in this community, so that I can employ people to develop a business plan, and that next step will be to implement a Kickstart platform and hopefully raise money there to put action to the bigger
picture. I want to show others that I have been where they are (in addictions), but I’ve pushed through, and I`m ready to show others how to recover. 

I want my story to give hope and inspiration to others who have gone through daily pain and the addictions associated with it. 

My Mission
The mission is to give back to my community. I’ve created a business platform where I can easily identify my community through drinking water. For the past 16 years, I have been investing time and money to
invent and patent a mousetrap system that will be part of my business plan.

A donation of any size ($5 minimum as per GoFundMe) would be a huge contribution to my campaign and my ability to give back to my community, to whom I previously supported and gave back.

How I am Going to Give Back

When my company is fully functioning I plan to give back from my company’s profits into local communities to support addiction awareness.  What I found was a big gap while I was trying to find help to get me a viable job. Yes, there was support, but it was limited. For example, I needed money for boots and a tool belt. Since I was not at that stage yet where I could afford it, or find the resources available to help me, I was stuck!!!

My business will create job opportunities to help others like me who are overcoming addictions to become contributing members of their community.
