Gillingham District WSJ 2019

We are 7 Explorers and Scouts Harry, Thomas, William, Joshua , Andrew, Georgia and Stig who have been selected to represent Gillingham district at the 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia. We were selected from all the scouts in the district via a strict selection process which involved a weekend camp followed by a personal presentation. After this the 7 of us made if through for this very exciting once in a lifetime opportunity.
In 2019 45,000 Scouts from all across the world are gathering in West Virginia in North America for the 24th World Scout Jamboree! We will be spending the next year and a half raising as much money as possible through fundraising and events that we will be organising with the help of our families and friends.

We need to raise £3945 each which is a grand total of £27615. The fee covers both each of us and also a proportion goes into a Solidarity Fund which ensures Scouts from less fortunate countries get to experience this amazing opportunity too (every country in the world except 4 are represented at the Jamboree). Please help support us by giving whatever you can to get us to America.
