Omar's Trip to Phillips Exeter

I am super excited to announce that my son, Omar Washington, has been chosen to participate in Phillip Exeter Academy Summer Program in New Hampshire. Omar is an intellectually curious, creative, eager to embrace new challenges and opportunities student who too is super excited about this oppurtunity. Omar is currently a tenth grade honor student at Ruleville Central High School and also a member of the Sunflower County Freedom Project.
Summer School students come from a variety of schools. Most reside in campus dormitories: others travel daily from their homes in the New Hamphshire seacoast area. Together they embody a rich diversity of language, culture, religion, and race. They come to Exeter with that particular mix of intellectual curiosity and adventurous spirit that holds the promise of glimpsing new horizons and making new discoveries.
The Summer School focuses on academic enrichment for students who are enthusiastic about learning. They offer rigorous college preparatory courses that take an in- depth approach to their subjects. A broad range of courses allows students to explore new areas of interest and to deepen their knowledge in subjects with which they are already familiar.
I am soliciting your help to make this a wonderful and positive expereience for Omar. The cost to attend the program has been paid however there are still some expenses that my family and I need help with providing, such as, books, meals, and extracurricular activities. PLEASE contribute to make this once in a lifetime opportunity a reality for Omar.
