Our group is a special movement. We believe that girls of all shades should feel beautiful. In a world where racism and colorism exist, we use our creativity to break the barriers of beauty. Our parade unit is unique; life-size doll costumes honoring women and characters of color. Our mission is making diversity a life-size reality.
On Thursday, November 22, 2018, we will be participating in the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade in Charlotte, NC. Since this local holiday tradition began in 1947, it has grown to become the largest parade in the Southeast, encompassing performances, outreach efforts, inspirational messages, and more.
We hope to encourage women of color, and ultimately all attendees, to embody self-love and self-worth in spite of adversity. We are reaching out to ask for your support in realizing this vision, regardless of the contribution amount. All monetary donations will help offset costs associated with costume and design, marketing, operations, etc.
