NURSING EDUCATION

During my last visit to Ghana, at the 37 Military Hospital, I witnessed the lack of current knowledge of the staff and nursing students in the hospital. The shortage of critical equipment and teaching aids for nursing education was evident. This impacts adversely on patient care.

I am a witness to the lack of resources as my son had to be admitted to hospital in an emergency. Nonetheless, the hospital is very special to me as I used the facility as a child.  I wish, therefore, to attempt to make a difference in the quality of care for future patients by aiding the under-resourced registered nursing and midwifery college of the hospital.  In this regard I need as much support as possible to raise money for more amenities and teaching aids.

In this regard, I need as much support as possible, to raise money for more amenities and teaching aids, as well as assist to create a modern functional library for the nursing students and other health professionals. This will facilitate both independent studies and improve nursing education, which will and ultimately improve patient care.
Of course, good work of this magnitude can be done only with substantial investment.
