Getting back to "Us"

Hello all,
My Name is LaKenda Crook and I don't have a tragic accident to share nor do I have a disability or illness, that has hindered my ability to thrive. What my family and I have experienced has been a trial period of difficult situations,back to back and non stop. I say trial period because God is in the making of us overcoming this time, as he has proved thus far. I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and have worked in the field of "helping" for over ten years. Never ever would I have thought I would be on the other end...but life happens. After my mom's passing of cancer a few years ago, I battled some hidden grief, like no other. I began to slowly but surely become withdrawn from the outgoing, dependable striver I once was. Never addressing the grief appropriately I kept GOING, single mom of 2 I don't have a choice right?... Continued to work full time, be the best mommy of two I could be, and the unforeseen took place. I lost my house, my car, then my job! Back to Back...., I could no longer hide the depression. The losses starting with my mother, took a toll. I leaned on family and friends a ton, and continued to PRAY! With God and some strong faith I have been able to secure another place, as of 1 month have started a new position still in the "helping" field that I am super excited about! Getting back to "US" the title of the campaign is just simply that. We are started from the ground up... I am positive there is no way but UP from here! This weekend was amazing and By God we met some great people check out the video from YouTube that shows me a little of my story and how GOD works!
