Getting mom home to Humboldt

Donation protected
This Go Fund Me is for my mom Marcia Hutson. I have really questioned whether this is the right thing to do. It's such an uncomfortable feeling to ask for monetary help. I know each of us have our own various struggles and most feel uncomfortable asking for assistance, especially when it comes to money. I was reminded that I'm doing this for mom and sometimes you just need to ask for help. As many of you know I take care of mom 24 hours a day due to a stroke she had several years ago. We moved to Weaverville to be closer to my brother about a year and a half ago but mom's health pretty quickly began declining and have spent much of the time in and out of the hospital. We have spent the last month partly at Mercy in Redding for kidney failure cause by dehydration which they were able reverse and now we are at Trinity hospital in Weaverville battling very low sodium levels due to an reason they can't figure out. Our goal has been to come home for a while but finances and hospital stays has delayed that. To get to the point, mom needs to get back to Humboldt to have the convenience of medical resources she needs at home and being such a small town they are just not available here and traveling an hour each way to Redding is way too taxing and pretty much impossible for mom and the hospital is encouraging me to get mom home asap. Because of mom's severe anxiety and speech difficulties I am at the hospital more than not. I'm trying my best in the limited time I have when not at the hospital to plan for a big rummage sale and we are receiving a small tax return but I know that will not cover the cost of getting home due to mom's medical conditions. I very much dislike asking for a hand out but I guess that's what I'm doing and I promise you I will pay it forward. If you can help, thank you. If not, thank you for just taking the time to read this. Please share of you can. I know there are many children out there taking care of a parent and the emotions can run all over the place. I have to say though it's truly the most rewarding thing I've ever done and I'm so glad I'm doing it. Everyday she asks me when can we move back to Humboldt. I think for her it's going back to the place where she feels at home and at peace and I can can tell you for me it's having close access to medical care for mom and being around friends and family, a comfort I am so incredibly missing. If you have any questions, please message me and I will be happy to answer them. Thank you so much, Wanda Stapp ❤❤❤
