Help Get My Family to The Church!!

HELLO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!! As you all may know by now, I am getting married!! I knew this day would come (eventually!) but I NEVER thought I would fall in love with someone from New Zealand and then get the opportunity to MOVE here!! (Although, my sister Katie can attest to the fact that since we were little girls we wanted to fall in love with someone who had an accent!!! Check!) I could not ask for a better second home in New Zealand! I absolutely LOVE it here although it means I do not see my family as often.
FAMILY is the reason I am setting up this GoFundMe account because I absolutely cannot get married without them. From the day of our engagement (23 July!), I have been thinking about how I could help get my immediate family over to witness the start of the happiest days of my life.
Round trip tickets to New Zealand from various parts of the US currently range from $1250 to $1500 USD per person. So for my Dad Talley, Mom Lisa, Stepdad Tom, Brother Toby and Sister-In-Law (to be!) Mandy, Little Sister Sophie AND my Older Sister (aka Best Friend) Katie to come to my wedding could cost up to $10,000 USD for the plane tickets alone. Which is an enormous financial pressure. Ever since moving out on my own when I was 18 years old, I have never needed to or wanted to ask for money (except for one advanced paycheck to help me get in my house!) but I cannot make a difference on my own. I would bless me so much to be able to help reimburse each of my family members for at least some of their travel expenses so MY wedding doesn’t put them in a hard place financially.
The time has now come for me to pop the big question of my own! Instead of Marc and I receiving any wedding gifts (or Christmas or Birthday gifts!), if anyone is able to donate a little bit to help collaborate on the biggest gift of all…which is sharing my wedding day with my nearest and dearest (but physically furthest away) loved ones….I would not ever be able to thank you enough. (It is actually making me cry just typing this because of how much it means to me – don’t worry, it is a good cry!) I don’t have an exact date of when I need the funds by because it will just be reimbursing them for the expenses because they will need to book their plane tickets as soon as possible to get the cheapest flight options. So I’ll just put the wedding date of 22 April 2017 as a final date (GoFundMe tells me I need a date!)
I don't expect to get even half the amount I put, but I was always told you will never get what you don't ask for :) So I'm going all in!
I wish I could invite so many more people to the wedding (I can’t even count the number I want!) but that is not an option for us with our wedding budget and our future plans (as husband and wife- oh my gosh the thought!!!).
I would be incredibly grateful, thankful and just plain full of love for anyone able to donate, even the littlest bit. However, if you plan to come visit me someday in New Zealand and need to save your pennies then do that because I’d love to see you too!
PS: Anything over the amount I've asked for will go toward me bringing my kitties, Linus and Darla, over!
