Closure Completion Funds

Help this story of two lost lovers find some much-neeeded closure.


In January of this year, Hyper Tensive Films and Sweet Nightmares joined forces to bring a passion project to cinematic fruition: the psychological drama Closure. Filming this intense love story was the end result of a seven year journey from page-to-camera that started in December of 2009.

Unfortunately, this journey isn't quite over yet... and we need your help to get some closure.

While we had a successful fundraising campaign back in the winter of last year, due to some unforseen circumstances all of our budget had to be utilized during production, leaving post-production hanging in the balance. I was dedicated to funding post-production myself, but unfortunately this past summer was a difficult one, where I battled a cranial surgery and some incredibly stressful house emergencies that were causing a detriment to my health and well-being.  I was forced to allocate any available funds to making sure both my health and my home were in tip-top shape.

So, the good news: earlier this year I hired an incredible post-production team to finish Closure. That includes sound design, color correction, score and VFX, most of which are either finished or near completion. That was before I was faced with some fiancial hard times. Now, we only need $2,000 to finish the film and we're so close to the finish line. Here is a breakdown of our costs and what they will go toward:


Some of you may be asking: But why GoFundMe? Why not use Indiegogo as before? Well, Indiegogo takes time. Most campaigns run at least 30 days and if we don't reach our goal, they will take out a significant percentage. With GoFundMe, funds are transferred immediately. As an example, my composer has been working day and night on the score for Closure since April of this year and I want to make sure he can get compensated in a timely manner... and not wait an additional 30-45 days for funds to be transferred. The same goes for my exceptionally hard-working VFX artist and the rest of my post team. 

You're also probably thinking: If I donated to the last campaign, will I still get my perks? The answer is yes. If you donated to our previous fundrasing campaign, we are hard at work at fulfilling your perks - which will be fulfilled before the end of the year. As a matter of fact, I have been working deligently on fulfilling some of the perks over the last couple weeks, so if you donated and chose the story bible or concept art or short story perk, for example, you will be recieving those perks very soon.

I have also made available some additional new perks that will hopefully be enticing to anyone - whether you donated before or you're donating for the first time, these perks were made with love just for you!

So why donate again? Well, for one, I wouldn't be doing this again if I didn't have a difficult summer.  Sometimes life throws your curveballs and I'm trying my best to turn this into a home-run. Most of all, I'm doing this to make sure good, hard-working people are compensated for their exceptional work and Closure gets completed in a timely manner. Too often have I seen independent films go through the process of getting filmed but not completed, being left on an external hard-drive or some desk collecting dust - never to see the light of day.

I don't want to see that happen to Closure. 

With your help, I can finish Closure before the end of the year and make sure my post team is compensated for all the hard work they've been doing this past summer. Every dime, nickle & penny will go toward the steadfast completion of this film.  If you choose to donate, you will be donating to what I believe will be a very special film that will hopefully resonate with many of you. It has been a passion project for the last 7 years and I don't intend on giving up now.
