Get Rodney to the Transplant Games!
Rodney Marshdale is a fighter: all his life doctors and experts told him that he would die before he turned 25: that Cystic Fibrosis would kill him. But Rod was too stubborn to die and he and his family fought to keep him alive. Now he is over 45 and has received a double lung transplant and, in typical Rod style, he is doing nothing by halves. Honouring the sacrifice of his donor he has kept his new lungs healthy by swimming. In fact, he has done such a good job that he has qualified for the International World Transplant Games in Malaga, Spain. Rod is an inspiration for people suffering from CF – kids in particular. If he could compete in these games for Australia, he would shine as an example to people who are told to expect to die that they can fight and live and have children and live a full, enjoyable and loving life.
Practically, the funds are needed by June 1, 2017. Please donate a little or a lot. Every dollar brings Rod closer to Malaga to compete for Australia!
