Get Reanne to World Championships

Donation protected
Hi,

I am raising money to attend the World Disabled Strongest Women Championships which will be held in Norway in September! Here is a little bit of information about me...

I was born three months early and within that time I had two bleeds on the brain. I had a blood clot at the top of my spine, this had to be drained daily and at first the liquid was very dark but each day it got a little lighter. At five days old the doctors wanted to turn my life support machine off, but mum said no, 'as long as we keep fighting, she keeps fighting', and I did! I was in hospital for three months, I have cerebral palsy which means that I have a natural weakness in my muscles and slower movement.  I am also visually impaired and have learning difficulties, however, neither condition has held me back and now I am writing this. I play a range of sports and am always willing to have a go, I have played football, judo, basketball, hockey, tennis, cricket, goalball, pool, snooker, and I've also been sky diving and enjoy climbing.

I began climbing when I was 15 and competed in my first competition within one month of starting. I was selected for the GB climbing team and went to the world championships in Paris where I placed 8th in the world, and in 2013 I went to the European Championships and came away with a silver medal. In 2014 I went to the World Championships in Gijon, Spain and came away with a silver medal, but after this competition it was the end of my international adventure.

Whilst at school I trained as a climbing instructor and really enjoyed this. After leaving school I moved away from home to attend the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford. At college, I have really got into intense weight training and after a few months of training I was asked by my coach Aaron if I would like to compete in the Disabled Strong Woman Competition. Naturally, I said yes. I trained really hard for about four months and attended my first competition in April where I came away with a silver medal which meant I had qualified for the Disabled Strong Woman British Championships.  For the British Championships I trained for five days a week, often twice, for four weeks to help me get stronger each day. Before I knew it, the British Championships were just around the corner. I wasn't expecting much, I didn't think I would place but I came away with a SILVER medal! More importantly, this means that I have qualified for a spot in the World Championships and this why I need your help.

Please help get me to Norway to attend the Disabled Strongest Women World Championships. All money donated will be greatly appreciated and help me to follow this dream. The money will be used to get me to Norway, for accommodation, and any additional equipment I may need.

If anyone out there is willing to sponsor me, it would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you,
Reanne
