Hi friends and family!
My name is Jalen Larry and I am a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in English. During my time at UIUC, I was blessed to discover my passion for film and the art of cinematography.
The Backstory
In 2015, I purchased my first camera and began to shoot documentaries, recap videos, and a variety of other videos. Since then, I have improved as a videographer, editor, writer, and even as a planner! This past summer, I shot and produced the documentary The Road to Inclusion: Bella's Story, highlighting the impact of inclusive settings on special needs children, which turned out to be a huge success!
In the last several years, I have been blessed to work with a number of clients that helped me better my craft, which in turn has lead to an offer from NFL Films!
Along 11 other successful candidates, I have been given the opportunity to intern at an Emmy award winning company in Mount Laurel, New Jersey for four months! This is honestly a dream come true for me and I am extremely excited for the oppotunity.
As a production intern, I will be able to work along side and network with professional producers and make a big step toward my goal of being a producer of a television/digital series within the next five years.
How can you help?
As we all know, moving to a different state is a huge transition and expenses add up quick.
