Get Grenada Swimming 2018
Donation protected
In Grenada, a small island country off the Venezuelan coast, it is estimated that up to 95% of inhabitants do not know how to swim. Get Grenada Swimming (GGS) is a program that is actively seeking to change that. The program is led by Deb Eastwood, who has been living on the island and teaching lessons for almost seven years now. With the goal of teaching a total of 8,000 individuals over the next five years, GGS offers free Saturday swim lessons, an after school swim program, and two annual National Learn to Swim Weeks, during which free swim lessons are offered to anyone over six years of age.
Last year, the money we raised went toward the opening of a new lesson site on the island. We need your help again! All donations will go toward GGS and this summer’s National Learn to Swim Week.
