In Febuary 2018 cafe Fandom had a fire and the damage was extensive.
Over the past year we have had amazing support from our groups and random people.
Money was raised which funded a partial clean and being able to host a few events elsewhere as well as make sure our staff were paid for work to date.
We have been messed around by insurence and loss assessors arguing over nothing, this has meant we have now been closed almsot a year and our insurence is up for loss of profit. (We were in our 1st year so its not much)
We have been treated badly by the council who only gave us 3 months with no business rates!!! Meaning £1800 a month we were expected to pay when we had a nil income. This is now a debt
There is still so much to do and so many things that we need to get and with the insurance companies taking forever to help us and apparently not helping us as much as we thought we are running the risk that we may not open at all
Cafe fandom was a Hub for the community, that was growing rapidly with different groups using us for different reasons and more things in the pipeline.
We have so much more to give to the community and so many more projects ready but I just don't see how we can get there.
Cafe fandom is owned by 2 families 2 normal people that quit their normal jobs in order to create something amazing for everybody.
Please help us to rise fandom from the Ashes! If you can just pledge £1 or even share and it may help us get back to where we need to be.
I promise the everything pledged will be given tenfold back to the community with our upcoming and different projects
