Cynthia needs a shipping container

Hi there, I am Cynthia, a Dutch renewable energy specialist and single mum of Daan (15) and Koen (22).

I am setting up a Young Africa skills training organisation for South Africa's underprivileged youths aged 15-25. In February Daan and I went to Zimbabwe for the YA pioneer training.

Since then I have worked out plans for Young Africa SA's Green Tech Campus, Business school, Bizzy Internet cafe and Art school.  All to be located in Johannesburg, in the townships Diepsloot, Alexandra and Soweto.
And now that we have a great Board of Directors of 4 top SA professionals and myself acting as executive-director it is time for my youngest son Daan and me to actually move to the Rainbow Nation.

Raising my boys on my own and adhering to the Sinead O'Connor's song: 'I do not want what I haven't got' I do not have a lot of 'stuff'. The 10m3 can be shipped on groupage at around 2500 Euros.
But, over the years I have collected a lot of good kids toys and stuff.  It is far too good to throw away and here there is no interest in all the cars, trucks and lego as even most babies in this country get to play on tablets and Iphones.
So, I really want to ship them to South Africa to be used for our YASA creche. Providing good child care for girl students and young mothers from local communities is all part of Young Africa's Integral Youth Empowerment Concept. For this we will seek to co-operate with local community centers in the townships.
The 7500 Euro's will make it possible to have a 20 foot container shipped from Holland to Johannesburg. It will probably leave room for additional childrens' supplies like cods and prams.

* Another 2500 Euro's would get me my own second hand container to Johannesburg. We could use it for storage while we are setting up our centers and even put solar panels on top and the inverters inside for our own electricity supply. Theft is a serious issue in South Africa.

Will you help me move to South Africa in six months time with all the kids' stuff for our YASA creche by helping me pay for a 20 foot container?
