Get Aimee back on her feet

On September 2, my niece Aimee, was rushed to the hospital and admitted to ICU for a severe deficiency of sodium and potassium, septic shock and kidney failure. She stayed in ICU for four days and then transferred to the regular hospital floor for another four days. She went home to recuperate, but was unable to work for the next five weeks.
She started back to work part-time even though she still was physically struggling. Aimee continued to have numerous doctors’ visits and tests, but even with her determined spirit, recuperation was slow. She continued to show signs of infection, and developed a growing lump in her pelvic region. Her doctors ordered an MRI, and contacted her on November 8, to tell her she needed to go to the emergency room. She was admitted into ICU to prepare for surgery on an abscess. During surgery they nicked a femoral vessel, causing severe blood loss and requiring an emergency blood transfusion. In the recovery room her right leg developed multiple blood clots from the damaged vessel; and her right leg turned dark and swelled to over twice its size.
A second surgery was quickly done to repair the damage to the vessel and manage bleeding.
Progress has been made but it is slow and to date she has been in ICU and other floors in the hospital for another two weeks. The doctors plan to send her to a rehabilitation facility to continue her recovery. She is still unable to put any weight on her right foot and is on blood thinners and pain meds to manage.
The continued health problems and cost of medical care is a stress on their financial situation. She recently found out that her job will not be able to continue to cover her wages this second stay in the hospital.
Many people have asked what they could do to help...
She and Matt would enjoy notes of encouragement and your thoughts and prayers.
In addition, please consider giving to help them during this time of need and share this request with friends.
