YO! Now he has another role.
Now he's a patient.
And what's the goal?
Every bump, every disadvantage
We will need help to manage
These cells are damaged
And we want them banished.

We are his caregivers.
His researchers. Therapists. Guides.
His nutritionists, entertainers - we will not abide.

We've got treatment expense after expense
co-pay and co-pay and co-pay - day by day!!
It doesn't make any sense
Hence,

We're gearing up for a stem cell transplant
isolation 
this realization
of a long-term hospital stay
it's got us - well, a bit cray-cray.
We're asking for help along the way.
And maybe a person (or two) to pray.

*** In all seriousness, this is not an easy thing to do.  And never in a million years did we ever think that we would be in this situation.  We thought we  could handle this one, but are now starting to see the medical bills roll in - even with the copays, the debt is starting to build. And we haven't even gotten to the pivotal turning point of Eric's treatments.
