Hi my name is Georgia, I am a 20 year old aspiring actress and singer from Melbourne, Australia. In July 2016 I auditioned for one of the most prestigious acting schools in the world; the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City. I am beyond thrilled and honoured to announce that I was accepted into the two year evening conservatory course which will commence this September. I know this will be an experience of a life time and hopefully the beginning of a professional acting career.
Some of the incredible alumni of Stella Adler include Marlon Brando, Kevin Costner, Salma Hayek, Mark Ruffalo, Robert De Niro, Benecie Del Toro, Warren Beatty and many more wonderful Academy Award winning actors.
My dream is to become a professional actor and musical theatre performer. I am hoping to work towards a career in stage, film and television. My grandmother Nanette Frew has had a wonderful career in stage acting and directing and both my parents have worked professionally as actors. I grew up my whole life wanting to also work in the creative industries, so this opportunity means everything to me.
Over the time that I attend this course I will be living in New York City full-time attending approximately 20 hours of class time a week. I am asking for your support to help me over this time. The course fees alone are $23,000USD and there are also the costs of airfares, the F1 student visa. as well as living and accomodation costs for the duration of the time I am there. As an Australian citizen I am unable to get a US work visa which means that I cannot get a part-time job whilst studying to support myself in the US, therefore any support you could give me I would be so grateful for.
I am saving furiously to try and raise money myself whilst I am still in Australia and I am also incredibly grateful for the support that my family is giving me but I know that I need further assistance to be able to pursue this dream. Really any help I can get through the generosity of people reading this would be truly inspiring and would certainly make a difference.
