On Monday, April 24, 2017, Pastor Georgia Mae Green was viciously attacked, robbed, stabbed multiple times and left for dead in her Baker County home, which was also burned to the ground.
The couple who committed this heinous act was arrested and charged with arson, attempted murder and aggravated assault.
She is currently in critical condition at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. Her family is prayerful and hopeful that she will make a full recovery in the coming months.
She was stabbed in numerous places, leaving her with both lungs punctured. She has undergone surgery to have the tendons repaired in her hand and has suffered two strokes since the attack. She is currently being sedated to allow her body time to rest and heal.
Her two daughters are making daily trips back and forth to visit and help care for their mother. The family and Pastor Green are in need of financial support to help with the cost of paying her medical and personal expenses; as well as travel costs to and from Alabama. Once she recovers, everything she owns will need to be replaced.
