Georges Waterproof Hearing Aids

Please can you help support George on his journey? We are hoping to raise money to help George in a way that helps him in his everyday struggle. George requires daily physio, is partially deaf, has brain damage, struggles with mobility and is globally delayed.
At 12lb 4oz he was a big boy at birth, he had no respiratory heartbeat and was delivered fitting by an emergency section. After he was stabilised he was rushed to Norwich for intensive care treatment. We were given a 50% chance of survival, and didn’t get to hold him for the first time until he was 16 days old. George had a Gastro Nasal feed tube until he was nine months old and the had a peg feed fitted in his tummy until he was eighteen months old. His most recent MRI shows he is brain damaged area is now dead. We still don’t know what the long term affect this will have on George’s life.
He is a trooper, and in his short life George has achieved so much! He attends mainstream school and swims twice a week (this helps with his muscles) however, he can’t hear without his hearing aids. We are now trying to raise £3000to buy George one waterproof hearing aid (however we would like to buyt two if we can raise enough) and one-to-one swimming instructor for the deaf. Both are important as without the swimming his muscles hurt and without hearing aids he cannot hear in the pool.
George is a happy boy with lots of friends, and we try and maintain a positive outlook for him but equally look for things that will enable him to live life to the full.
We will be holding a coffee morning, a summer BBQ with homemade jams and chutneys to raise some of the funds required.
