Former Villanova Track Standout, George MacKay, needs your help!!

George MacKay loved running. His outstanding track achievements while at Pascack Hills High School in Bergen County, New Jersey earned him a track scholarship to Villanova University, one of the track powerhouses back in the 70’s. George loved running the middle distance and distance events. Many say he was destined to join the myriad of sub 4-minute milers who ran under coaching legend Jumbo Elliott.
Following his junior year at Villanova, George was involved in an automobile accident which left him unable to run again. One of his legs developed phlebitis causing the leg to swell up. Over the years George has periodically experienced bouts of pain in the injured leg. In early March, 2018 George suffered massive blood clots in his injured leg, some of which spread to his lungs. This life threatening event has hospitalized George for the past two weeks, requiring much intensive care. While he is improving, there is no indication of when he might be healthy enough to be released.
Due to these unforeseen circumstances George will be facing exorbitantly high hospital bills. We are asking for your assistance in helping to defray these and other expenses he will incur. George has a 10 year old daughter, Rileigh MacKay. Your prayers for George and his family as well as any financial assistance you can provide are much appreciated.
