Gemma from the Gemstones needs help

Hi everyone, Aruban Cunucu rescue dogs Toby and Nellie have been "co-fostering" Aruban Cunucu Gemma (mama to the Gemstone litter) for about 2 1/2 weeks now. About 2 weeks ago, I (Megan) noticed unusual bleeding so I took Gemma to the vet to get her checked out. My wonderful vet suspected it was a heat cycle (unusual, as she is spayed) and said it may be from remnants leftover from her spay (not uncommon, as spays are intricate procedures). She recommended further testing to be done. Sherry stepped in as co-foster mama and took her to her vet for further review, who said the same thing. Unfortunately before we could do so, that night, we needed to rush Gemma to the emergency room for massive bleeding and discomfort. She was diagnosed with "vaginal hyperplasia" which is very rare but can happen as a result of estrogen. This being said, Gemma is undergoing major surgery today to remove any remnants from her spay and to also remove the mass which will be biopsied (just to be safe).
As you can imagine from seeing 5 vets in 4 days, we have racked up quite the vet bill . Surgery today is estimated at $2,600 alone, and we have already paid about $1,200 in emergency vets and internal medicine vet visits. We are willing to do ANYTHING to get Gemma fixed up and healthy so we can get her back on her feet, but we need your help! (And of course, if we don't use all the money for Gemma any extra funding will go to the puppies. And as a 501c your donation is a tax writeoff ).
