Much needed service dog equipment
My name is Rebecca and I am 28 years old.
I am disabled and really need some equpment for my service dog in training Lennon.
He is going to need a vest I at fist thought he would need a mobility harness but it looks like he will be big enough to just rest my hand on his back so he can help me walk when I dont want to use my wheelchair. I also want to get some patches to help cut down on access issues and issues with people trying to play with him. These patches will be made by fellow service dog teams. Living on disability it's a struggle to keep lights on, a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. I suffer from Neurofibromatosis type 1. Along with this I also have Athritus, insomnia, high pain levels mostly in my head due to a tumor (not cancer although it can turn that way at any time) wrapping around the nerves in my face. I also have severe depression stemming from, all the pain I face day to day, and from all the years of being made fun of in school. I graduated in 2007 and live in a very small town. Still this many years later my school bullies still make fun of me. I have vision issues and seizures. I also suffer from G.A.D. This stems from people who dont understand service dog laws. I call the police for help but have always been made out to be the bad guy since "people love dogs". I do know though that most people who are in law enforcement are not bad people. It is just something that bothers me due to several bad encounters. I tend to have anger issues from all the bullying but my dogs help me have a focus. I can honestly say if it wasn't for them I would not be here anymore.
