NYC Gay Caribbean Big Truck 2017

The “Big Truck” participates in the NYC Gay Pride parade of over a million spectators. This allows Chutney Pride to showcase the mosaic people's, music, cultures, and flags of the entire Caribbean.
What Does Chutney Pride Mean?
In the Caribbean, ‘Chutney’ is a fusion of East Indian melodies and Afro-Caribbean Soca, combined in harmony to form one uniform sound. Around the world, it's a combination of tropical spices, fruits, hot peppers, and sweetness blended together. When you mix that with “Pride” you bring people together from all walks of life to be who can be proud of who they are.
Chutney Pride is about uniting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender individuals of Caribbean descent to promote unity, diversity, culture and create safe spaces within the LGBT Caribbean community.
Our supporters are not just within the LGBT community, they are our local businesses and straight allies who have believed in our mission for the past 20 years.
Please support our fundraising for Chutney Pride's New York City 2017 Gay Pride float. The funds raised helps towards expenses like the rental of the truck, sound equipment, hiring of a driver, DJ, labor, decorations, water and ice for our marchers.
