Gator Gears to Razorback Competition

The Meadow Glen Middle School all-female robotics team, the Gator Gears, came in 2nd place at the First Lego League (FLL) state competition and will be traveling to Arkansas to represent SC in the Razorback Robotics Competition. We are working to raise funds for lodging and travel for the 5-day competition.

This group of girls have worked hard this season and have learned skills in coding, research and development, and how to collaborate with others. The Gator Gears are unique this year, in that they have grown as a cohesive team but also because they have gained the confidence to stand out as strong young women in the area of STEM. They are learning to embrace their love and enjoyment of robotics and each teammate's individual identity in the group.

Please consider a donation to help these tenacious women leaders travel to the University of Arkansas to compete in the FIRST Lego Razorback Invitational in May 2019.
