Gardner's Flooded Trailer Fund

My name is Scott Dowdle and I live in Belgrade Montana. I'm trying to raise $20,000 for my bother Gardner Dowdle who lives in Portia Arkansas. He lived in an RV trailer until it was completely lost to flooding in the first week of May, 2017. Any money raised goes directly to Gardner and towards the purchase of a replacement RV trailer as well as household goods, clothes, and temporary living expenses etc.
Here's the story Gardner passed on to me. He wrote it on his cell phone because his laptop was destroyed:
"It was the first week of May that the flood came....i knew the water was rising but it had never got high enough to come in to trailer before...I didn't drive motorhome because it was my home therefore it wasn't out on the road so only insurance I had was liability...full coverage insurance on a vehicle that's not driven was more than I could afford... A few months earlier my father passed away and my mother wanted to be near family...so i went to work Monday morning .and after work traveled to memphis to get mom..while I was moving her the flood came...
the roads to my place were under water...the sheriff's Dept took me out to property in a boat to salvage anything possible... when I saw trailer I knew I had lost everything.... water inside was nearly at my chest and the report was that more was coming...I grabbed a set of clothes and my medicine and got back in the boat....the pic u see are 10 days later...still can't get down the road and everything especially the interior is growing mold...the cabinet's a made of pressboard, which once it dries , will swell...the appliances destroyed...the interior walls would have to be taken out and the insulation to keep mold from growing....even if I do work my self the repairs will cost more than it would to purchase a replacement...this is why we created this page....if u are being lead to assist we thank u...and may the Lord richly bless you..."
