ולתקן את הבטן דורש מעל לשני מנתחים הניתוח מאוד מסוכן ודורש זמן החלמה ארוך ואף חלק מהרופאים פוחדים לגשת לניתוח זה ,אנחנו זקוקים לכל עזרה כספית על מנת לעבור את הניתוחים הקשים האלו גל אשר לא יכל לעבוד עקב מצבו ועדין נמצא בשיקום וכאבים ללא מרפא יום יום לילה לילה כאבי מעיים וקיבה ובטן ללא הפסק הצורך בניתוחים הינו דחוף וצריך לעשותו באופן פרטי עקב זה שגל מתגורר מעל ארבע שנים בחול ולא זכאי לתנאי הביטוח לאומי בארץ . בואו נעזור לגל לעבור את זה ונקל עליו , לאחר תקופת הגיהנום הקשה
מתגורר מזה כ4 שנים באמריקה. בחודש אוקטובר האחרון הגיע גל מטקסס במטרה לבדוק אפשרויות מעבר ללוס אנגל'ס.
ולהתקרב לקהילה היהודית ישראלית
לצערו הרב ,עבר גל תאונת דרכים קשה3 שבועות אחרי שהגיע ללוס אנגלס.
גל אשר היה מחוסר הכרה כ שבוע ימים
עבר סידרה של ניתוחים קשים
במהלך החודשיים האחרונים הפך הבית חולים לבית השני של גל.
ב תחלית מרץ האחרון עבר גל ניתוח ארוך וקשה שערך 8 שעות על מנת לשקם את מערכת המעיים והבטן.
ההחלמה מניתוח זה עפ"י הערכת הרופאים היא 6 חודשיים
המטרה היא להחזיר את גל לארץ להמשך טיפולים וניתוחים .
גל כרגע אינו מסוגל לתפקד בזכות עצמו וצריך עזרה.
הוריו של גל אשר טסו בחודשים האחרונים הלוך וחזור מספר פעמיים נכנסו לחובות. ועל פי מצבם הכלכלי
אמא של גל אשר נמצאת לצידו כרגע נאלצת לחזור לארץ לאחר שלושה חודשים . מצבם הכלכלי מצריך אותה לחזור לעבודה.
אנו מבקשים את עזרתכם לאפשר לגל להחלים ולעמוד על הרגלים
Most of us leave 'miracle making' to G-d. But perhaps we can make them happen too, and perhaps this is what the good Lord intends. Who among us knows for sure.
But in the meantime...Here's one that I wish for most:
A precious friend to many of us- Gal Avishey's life, went from the one he imagined- to the one he is now living. In one swift and single moment. A moment just like the one we are all alive and well, in, right now. In a crash of a rental car and the moment that metal meets cement in a sickening and shattering sound, our friend Gal was forever changed. Just. One. Moment.
The doctors said it took a miracle for any human being to have been cut from that car alive. But by the grace of G-d, Gal was. He and his family are from Israel and Gal had moved to Dallas a year ago. Just building his new life, "health insurance" was something far from his mind. But only now, does he know it should have been.
I am sharing the images of Gal before the accident, and now- lying in his hospital bed. I have seen pictures of his horrific and unfathomable injuries but I cannot show them here. They are images once seen, that cannot be 'unseen'. But I can tell you this much: that the very fact that a human body can sustain such carnage and still live and breathe (& even speak!) is truly another miracle in itself.
Gal's father Yaacov flew to Gal's bedside and this is where he sits day and night. An angel of a Dr. at Northridge Hospital allowed Gal to be admitted to their trauma unit without insurance and this is where he is now. Gal is alert and can speak, but it will be many many months before his body heals. His injuries are graphic and traumatic.
Gal and his family were opposed to anyone asking for money on their behalf. But reality has set in, and Gal has given me the go ahead to accept donations from people who truly wish to help; as we have convinced him that allowing others to do this is a good thing.
This "go fund me account" goes directly to Gal abizdid bank account.
Meanwhile, Gal's father showed him each and every one of your prayers, messages and comments on Facebook, and in his adorable & slightly-broken English, Gal said to me later, "Mareesa, dis warm my heart. Eeet truly warm my heart." And he meant it.
Gal and his family do not have the sort of money to cover the unfathomable medical bills they will face (he remains in ICU as the clock ticks @ tens of thousands of dollars a day). But no one has demanded payment, and they continue to treat him at this very special hospital. Gal lives in Dallas but was in LA on business, when he had the accident. Not far from where this trauma unit stands. These people and this hospital…well, perhaps they are miracles, too.

Gal can recover. And with a miracle or two, he will. We can help him. And maybe ours will just be a drop in the bucket...
