Gabriella's Ballet Summer Intensive

Hi, I'm Gabi!  I am  15 and a  student from New York City studying ballet at the Dance Theatre of Harlem.  Last year I was chosen to become a  proud Brown Girls Do Ballet Ambassador.  I hope to one day join the ranks of Brown Ballerinas making my mark and sharing my gift of dance to the world.  

I began dance at the age of 2 at my church. I attended The Ailey School and InnerVisions Theater Arts Center before beginning my study of classical ballet at the Dance Theatre of Harlem.  My love for ballet has grown every year.  It is not always easy balancing school, piano, and ballet but it's what I love.  There is no me without ballet that is why this is so important to me.

This summer I was accepted into the  Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program.  This will be an incredible opportunity not only for me to study ballet intensively for 5 weeks this summer but to also experience a new school and company.  

I would love to have your support to help me realize my dream.  Studying ballet requires time, hard work and dedication.  With your support, I can continue my ballet training this summer.  Your donation will help defray the cost of tuition and room and board in Boston.  

The past two summers I studied at the Washington School of Ballet (2015) and the Miami City Ballet (2016).  They were both awesome experiences.  I learned so much about myself, learning how to live on my own, make intelligent decisions and train with some amazing artists.

   It's a great way to get to know me.  I shared my time last summer at Miami City Ballet in a daily vlog.  I continue to share my experiences on my journey as a student of ballet, I invite you to check it out.
